Design engineers begin to form relationships with the general contractor, local building inspectors to understand the code restrictions. The detailed installation drawings are prepared, exceptions are noted and explained, approvals are obtained and the bill of materials are produced.

Meantime the project management team has already made contact with the suppliers and drafted a timeline. This draft is introduced to the client project management team in either face to face or conference calls. Upon final approval, the Morrison Company team takes charge and puts into motion what can be 200 or more truck loads of steel.

Orchestrating the schedule is left to the individual project manager and the onsite installation team. Even though most facilities have several hundred thousand square feet of warehouse, space is at a premium even as the structure is being constructed



Results:
Over the past 20 years, Morrison Company has completed projects for over 30 distribution centers for Walgreens, CVS, Discount Drug Mart and Bindley Western (now known as Cardinal Health). Additionally, six facilities are being completed for a giant drug wholesaler.
